Satellite

Satellite is normally seen as the last resort for those who live in remote areas are unable to receive any other form of Internet service.

A Satellite service is available throughout the UK and requires the installation of a dish. There are two types of connection.

  1. One-way connection: where you will be able to receive data, download or view web pages, but can only send information (email etc.) by using a dial-up modem.
  2. Two-way service: where data can be both sent and received through the satellite dish. These tend to be quite expensive to install, with an additional monthly subscription.
