Broadband products
Why business broadband?
Businesses have unique needs that set them apart from domestic broadband. So the broadband packages offer different options
Support
Nearly every business relies somewhat on their internet connection. It's invaluable for research and keeping in touch with customers via email. In many cases, without it, work would stop, customers would lose contact and ultimately revenue is lost. A domestic broadband supplier in this case would offer a premium rate phone line for restricted technical support.
A business broadband package offers much greater levels of support, where you get an engineer straight away and service level agreements which will guarantee that your connection will be fixed, and compensation if these guarantees are not met.
Remote support is also offered in some cases where an engineer can take "remote control" of your PC's to solve problems. Many business packages come with a backup dialup service. While dialup is obviously not as fast as a broadband connection, it works as an emergency measure to ensure you get minimum connectivity.
Security
A virus on a home computer is annoying, but on a business computer it can be a disaster. Hackers are also of huge concern. They are able to steal valuable information, details of customers, bank and credit card details. Business broadband packages often come with better security to help ensure that your data and network is much more secure.
